Description
Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Soweto, a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is set to be utilised as a training field for teams participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup after being completely rebuilt and reopened on 22 November 2008.
Orlando Stadium was originally built in 1959 at a cost of £37,500 with a capacity of 24,000.
The stadium will host a Super 14 semi-final in May 2010. This is due to the Bulls' usual home ground Loftus Versfeld Stadium being unavailable due to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
